So how this works

This is mainly for my translators. Here's how things are gonna work here.


Mmk, basically. I have a series of files. About 30 or so for the main story. About 30 more for random other parts. Each of these 30 files is about 1000 lines or more. It's A LOT of work. But thankfully melete has made me a program to edit these based on box. And the option to add/delete lines. AND has figured out the size limit, so I can do everything I want, basically.

Once I am done one of these files fully, and it has gone through basic editing (though not the final touchup), I will email the file and the program to all you translators. You'll have the English and you can edit it as you see fit. I'll also email you instructions on how to test it without getting out your DS's hehe. If any of you speak Japanese, even a little, I will also email you the Japanese version of the file to allow for more accurate translations. The reason I'll give you both is because the Japanese in here can, at times, be tricky so seeing my translation may help you along. Also, if you're feeling lazy (hehe) you can just not even bother with the Japanese and trust my translation. Once you are done with the file, you can either send it back to me and I'll make a patch, or I can tell you how.

I'd PREFER to have releases up to date on the forum here. I'll also give you editing access to my wordpress once I get the file out. That way you can make announcements. I won't mind it if you do make your own pages though of course, but a bunch of updates on one centralized site could give us A LOT of press and activity =D. The one thing I will require though if you do make your own translation page is that you make it very clear that you are translating from my translation and that the editor you are using is made by the user melete. I don't mind people doing spin-off translation sites of course, but like... It'd be kinda mean not to link back to us in some way. Like if you were going to do a wordpress, please put the fact that you are using my translation as a source in the "About" page with a link to either the Hakuouki wordpress, my Nimue Translations wordpress, or my forum here in the "Related Links" category. If you do livejournal or something like that, try to do something similar. I dunno much about livejournal, so umm.... Yeah. Hehe.

Also, if my precious translators are willing, I'm hoping eventually some of you will come on-board and bring out French/Polish/Indonesian/Whatever translations from my English on other games! Arabians Lost is prolly gonna be my next project. This is going to be awhile from now, but I just wanted you to know how awesome you all are and if any of you are willing to stick with Nimue Translations you're more than welcome *gushes*.
